One of the most talented lacrosse players to ever wear the Green and Gold, Murphy will earn his rightful place in the Hall of Fame this fall. A two-time captain and four-time varsity letter winner, Murphy’s career was truly one for the record books. One of the key factors behind Boston State’s three Colonial League titles, Murphy was a force to be reckoned with on the field. A 1978 Colonial League First Team All-Star, Murphy was selected to the All-New England East/West All-Star Game in that same season. He was also the first midfielder and second player in program history to be named to the prestigious North/South National All-Star game in his senior season. Among his many highlights is his five-goal performance in 1977 against Springfield College.
