The greatest baseball team in UMass Boston history, the Beacons put together an unprecedented run to their first-ever Little East Conference Tournament and NCAA Regional Tournament championships. One of the most potent offenses ever, the Beacons pounded their competition to earn their first-ever trip to the Division III College World Series. Amongst the team’s many highlights is their school record 32 wins that season. During the conference and regional tournaments the Beacons outscored their opponents 65-32. They ended the year ranked 12th in the country, the highest national ranking of any Beacons team at the time. Two players were named ABCA All-Americans, while six players collected All-Conference and All-Region accolades. In total, 16 program records were set in the Beacons historic run.
