Lekeith (Keith) Harrison is the newest member of the UMass Boston Recreation and Intramural program, and serves as the Aquatics Program Manager. A native of Dorchester, MA Harrison graduated from South Boston High School, and is currently enrolled at UMass Boston as an Exercise Health Science major.
Harrison brings significant program development and communications experience to the university. He has been in the aquatics field for over 10 years working for various organization such as Boys & Girls Club of Boston; YMCA of Greater Boston; Peak Performances Swim Camp & Boston Centers for Youth and Families.
Throughout his career he has worked as an American Red Cross Instructor for lifeguarding and CPR, First aid & AED trainings. He also well known as a swim coach. He has coached swimming at the professional level for the past six years, and has trained multiple swimmers in and around the New England area to regional, state, and zone level competition.
He divides his time as the head coach for a local recreational team Flaherty Dolphins Swim Team in Roslindale, MA and an adult U.S. Masters team. He is also the assistant head coach of a USA swim team Grenfin Aquatics, and at Boston Latin Academy.
