Kevin McCluskey is currently in his second year as the Associate Director of Athletics for Development and Marketing at the University of Massachusetts Boston. One of the most respected names in the city of Boston, McCluskey brings significant development and communications experience to the harbor campus.
The former Senior Director of Community Relations at Harvard University, McCluskey has established strategic, mutually beneficial relationships in greater Boston’s business, government, foundation, media, civic and non-profit circles. For more than two decades, he enhanced Harvard’s reputation for community involvement and commitment by creating a highly visible and positive presence.
Prior to his work at Harvard, McCluskey served as the Director of Development at Emerson College. During his tenure at Emerson, he successfully cultivated and secured major gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations, and the City of Boston.
McCluskey has also served Boston as a citywide elected Member and President of the Boston School Committee, and as Board Chair of Boston Partners in Education, a key provider of academic tutors and mentors for the Boston Public Schools.
No stranger to the neighborhood, McCluskey grew up in the Columbia Point housing development. He is a graduate of Boston Latin School and Harvard College (B.A.), and holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
