Alexa Cappione is in her first year as the Athletic Trainer at UMass Boston.
A standout member of the UMass Boston women’s ice hockey team, Cappione returned to her alma mater after graduating from Bridgewater State University with a Master of Science in Athletic Training in 2018.
As a Beacons Cappione was the captain of the first and only championship women’s ice hockey team, which they won in her senior season. A respected member of UMass Boston athletics, Cappione is continuing her education and professional growth while on the harbor campus.
During her young career she has completed clinical work at Harvard University, Boston College, and St. Andrew’s School in Rhode Island.
Cappione is currently a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association, and is a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer.
