Cross Country Concludes Season at NCAA Regional Championship

WESTFIELD, Mass. – To close out one of their best seasons to-date members of the men's and women's cross country teams competed at the 2016 NCAA New England Regional Championship meet hosted by Westfield State University, Saturday afternoon.


Men – 39th out of 56 teams
Women – No Team result


Freshman Patriciah Mulinge (Brockton, Mass.) closed out her impressive season with the fastest time on the women' side.  The Brockton native crossed the finish line with a time of 23:58.42.  Adrianna Fredo (Brockton, Mass.) and Maddy Scott (Westhampton, Mass.) finished Saturday's championship meet with times of 26:09.85 and 26:16.40.

On the men's side Cameron Chase (Lutz, Fla.) recorded a final time of 27:47.62 to once again lead the Beacons runners.  Terry Williams (Saint Mary's, Ga.) also had a strong race on Saturday with his final time of 28:17.90, while Jeffrey Noyes (Weymouth, Mass.) completed the 8K course with a time of 28:40.26.  Rokas Piragis (Brockton, Mass.) posted a time of 29:14.10, followed by Jonny Long who recorded a time of 29:38.93.  Jake Lachapelle (Whitinsville, Mass.) closed out the meet with a time of 30:39.73.
