BOSTON, Mass. – In their only Friday meet the men's cross country team finished in 11th place, while the women's team finished in ninth place at the Emmanuel College Saints Invitational at Franklin Park.

HOW IT HAPPENED
For the women's team, freshman standout Patriciah Mulinge (Brockton, Mass.) put together another strong performance as she finished in 16th place with a time of 21:09. On the men's side Cameron Chase (Lutz, Fla.) earned a 29th place finish in Friday's meet, as the Florida native recorded a time of 27:54.
Maddy Scott (Westhampton, Mass.) and Madison Harmon (East Sandwich, Mass.) recorded the second and third fastest times for the Beacons respectively. Scott crossed the finish line with a time of 21:55, while Harmon posted a final time of 22:34. Rokas Piragis (Brockton, Mass.) completed the 8K course with a time of 29:16 to earn 62nd place, while Jeffrey Noyes (Weymouth, Mass.) and Jonny Long (Newton, Mass.) finished right after each other with times of 29:25, and 29:27.
Terry Williams (Saint Mary's, Ga.) earned a time of 29:43, while Adrianna Fredo (Brockton, Mass.) posted a final time of 23:07. Sophia Dudkin (Newton, Mass.) and Carli Hancock (Ipswich, Mass.) closed out the meet for the Beacons with times of 24:41 and 27:41.
The Beacons will compete at the Little East Conference/New England Alliance Championship meet on October 29 at UMass Dartmouth.
