Keelin Severtson is entering her first year as an assistant coach with the UMass Boston volleyball team.

A Division I player, Severtson comes to the harbor campus after spending the last three years as an assistant coach with the Palm Beach Juniors Volleyball Club in Lake Worth, Florida.  During her three years with Palm Beach Juniors, Severtson was named the Assistant Coach of the Year in 2017.  She helped the 14 Elite program to a National Bid, while also leading the 16 team to a USA bid to the USAV Junior Nationals.  Severtson worked with all facets of the club teams and was responsible for implementing practice and game plans for the highly competitive programs.

Severtson also served as an assistant coach with the Lake Work Christian Volleyball team, and has served as an assistant coach and counselor for the University of New Hampshire Volleyball Camp. 

A former player at UNH, Severtson was a four year member and full scholarship student-athlete.  She led the Wildcats to four America East Conference championships and appeared in four NCAA Division I tournaments.  She served as a captain for the spring 2016 and fall 2017 squads.  A true student-athlete, Severtson was a multi-All-Academic team honoree, and was named the America East Conference Tournament MVP in 2016.  She was the Setter of the Year in the conference and was a First Team All-Conference selection in 2015 and 2016.

Severtson graduated from UNH in 2017 where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, while maintaining a 3.30 GPA.
