Shi Earns Little East Offensive Player of the Week Honors Again

PAWTUCKET, R.I. – For the second straight week, senior hitter Eileen Shi (San Francisco, Calif.) has been named the Little East Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Shi, who is quickly approaching a career milestone, led the Beacons to a 1-1 week as they continue to have one of their best starts in recent memory.  On Saturday, the outside hitter scored a total of 29 kills and had four aces and 15 digs. 

In the Beacons 3-0 win over Maine-Presque Isle, Shi delivered 11 kills and hit an impressive .500.  She also dropped in four aces.  In her second match against regionally ranked Bowdoin College, Shi registered a team-high 18 kills on 46 attempts.  She also had 10 digs to post her second double-double of the year.  At the net, Shi finished with a pair of block assists.
