SALEM, Mass. – Less than 24 hours after their hard fought win over Worcester State University, women's tennis had to travel to Salem to take on the top-ranked team in the Little East Conference, the Vikings of Salem State (10-1, 7-0 LEC).  The host Vikings defeated the Beacons (6-7, 3-4 LEC) by the final score of 8-1 Wednesday afternoon at Central Campus tennis courts.

Earning the lone victory for the Beacons was junior Anitra Kloczewiak (Newton, MA).  With her 7-6, 6-1 win at first singles, Kloczewiak notched her record setting 47th career combined victory.  She passes Sabine Van Vlerken '01, who held the record for the last 10 seasons with 46 combined victories.
