Kat Rosenthal is in her first year at UMass Boston as an assistant softball coach.

Rosenthal is a 2013 graduate of the College of Holy Cross where she spent four years playing softball. After walking on to the team as a freshman, Rosenthal appeared in 91 collegiate games, including starting in 23 games at catcher as a senior. She was behind the plate for the program’s first perfect game in school history, when Gennifer Durham shut down Colgate University on April 14, 2013.

During her playing career, she was named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll on three occasions.

Kat graduated this past spring with a Bachelor of Arts in Physics and a concentration in Women and Gender Studies.
