Killilea Becomes First Beacon To Be Named ECAC All-Star

CENTERVILLE, Mass.—For the first time in her prestigious career, UMass Boston senior Sue Killilea (Abington, Mass.) has been named to the ECAC Division III New England All-Star Team, the league office announced Thursday.

Killilea earned a spot on the ECAC First Team to become the first player in program history to earn a spot on the 25-member All-Region side. This is the seventh overall year the ECAC has given out All-Region awards.

The senior second baseman was also named a National Fast Pitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III New England All-Region player and a Little East Conference First Team selection earlier this spring.

In her final season in Beacons Blue, Killilea led the squad with a .398 batting average, a .465 on-base percentage, a .628 slugging percentage and a team-high 71 total bases.

She finished up her career at UMass Boston with eight offensive program marks and also stands tied for eighth all-time in Divison III history with 31 career triples.
