NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA - University of Massachusetts Boston women's soccer player Ashley McRoberts (Merrimack, NH) has been named Little East Conference Women's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week for her play during the week of September 29 to October 5, it was announced today by the conference. She becomes the second goalie this season to earn the weekly award for the Beacons with junior Courtney Haroules (Littleton, MA) taking the honor for the week of September 15-21.

McRoberts posted a 0.90 goals against average in 200 minutes of action over two matches, while owning a .857 save percentage with 12 saves for UMass Boston. The sophomore registered her first shutout of the season and second of her career when she turned away all five shots that she saw vs. Little East Conference opponent University of Southern Maine on October 2. She came back just two days later and stopped seven of nine shots in 110 minutes of play to preserve a 2-2 double-overtime tie at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth on October 4.

The Merrimack High School product has started four of six matches for the Beacons and has played a team-high 451:17 minutes in net. She owns a 1-2-1 record to go with a 2.19 goals against average and a .761 save percentage on 35 saves. McRoberts ranks fifth among league leaders in saves and shutouts per game (0.17), seventh in save percentage and 10th in goals against average.

McRoberts has seen action in 16 matches in net, starting 10 of them, while owning a 2.68 goals against average in 1141:51 minutes of play. The second-year player has made 112 career saves for a .767 save percentage and has posted a 3-6-2 record. She currently ranks eighth in career matches, minutes played and saves at UMass Boston. The keeper ranks third in all-time wins and fourth in shutouts for the Beacons.

The Beacons are currently 3-5-1 on the season, including a 2-0-1 mark in Little East Conference play to give them seven points and a spot atop the league standings as well a school-record for victories in conference play. UMass Boston will be in action again on October 7 when it travels to Brookline, MA to take on Newbury College at 3:00 p.m.
