HAROULES NAMED LITTLE EAST CONFERENCE WOMEN'S SOCCER GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK

NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA - University of Massachusetts Boston women's soccer player Courtney Haroules (Littleton, MA) has been named Little East Conference Women's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week for her play during the week of September 15-21, it was announced today by the conference.

Haroules stopped all six shots she faced to earn her second career shutout in a 2-0 road-victory at Rhode Island College on September 20. The victory was the first in conference play for the Beacons since a 1-0 win at Rhode Island College on September 28, 1995.

The junior owns a 1.42 goals against average to lead the team and rank seventh in the conference, while placing fourth with 6.75 saves per game with a total of 27 in the four matches that she's played. Haroules has posted a .844 save percentage on the season to top UMass Boston and put her fifth in the league and ranks fourth among LEC keepers with a shutout. The Littleton High School product leads the team with 316:43 minutes played and owns a 2-2-0 win-loss mark, while allowing one or fewer goals in three of her four starts. Haroules stopped a season-high 12 shots vs. University of Quebec Trois Rivieres on August 31 at the Husson College Invitational in Bangor, ME.

Haroules owns a 2.34 career goals against average, while maintaining a lifetime save percentage of .788. Her 1306:09 minutes played total is the sixth-highest figure in school history and her five career victories place her second all-time at UMB. The 6'1" keeper has stopped 126 shots for her career to put her seventh in school history and has registered double-digits in saves on six occasions, including a career-high of 14 vs. Western Connecticut State University on October 13, 2007.

UMass Boston is 2-4-0 overall, including 1-0-0 to tie for first place in the LEC standings and will be in action again on Tuesday, September 23 when it hosts Fitchburg State College at 3:30 p.m. at the Clark Athletic Center Field.
