NEVILLE'S SECOND HALF GOAL LIFTS WOMEN'S SOCCER OVER UMASS DARTMOUTH, 1-0

NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA - Freshman forward Kelli Neville (Milton, MA) netted her second goal in as many games to propel the University of Massachusetts women's soccer team over the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, 1-0, this afternoon on UMass Dartmouth campus. UMass Dartmouth dropped to 2-7-0 and 0-2-0 in the Little East Conference in the loss, while UMass Boston improved to 5-1-3 and 2-0-0 with the victory.
Neville netted the game's lone goal with 19:57 left to play in the second half off an assist from junior forward Kristin Mulry (Holbrook, MA). The goal was the Neville's third on the year and marks the first time in on the season that the freshman has scored in back-to-back contests. The Beacons held a 10-5 shot advantage on the match and also attempted six corner kicks compared to the Corsairs two.
For UMass Boston, freshman goalkeeper Katie Coscia (Pittsfield, MA) made two saves in net to earn her first collegiate shutout. Senior keeper Tanya Braga (Hudson, MA) finished the game with five saves for UMass Dartmouth.
The Beacons are back in action on Tuesday, September 28 when they host Becker College in a 4:00 p.m. match while UMass Dartmouth plays host to Mitchell College at Cressy Field on Wednesday, September 29 at 7:00 p.m.
