Dan Campagna returns to the Beacons' staff for his third season with the primary responsibility of working with the goalkeepers.
During his playing days, Campagna enjoyed an impressive four-year career as the starting goalkeeper at Emmanuel College (MA). In 2003, he was in net for the programs first victory and graduated holding every single goalkeeping record including career wins, shutouts, saves and save percentage.
Over the course of his final two playing seasons, Campagna registered eight shutouts to finish his career with a program record 12 shutouts. During his junior campaign, the keeper allowed only eight goals the entire season to register a .915 save percentage which ranked third among NCAA Division III goaltenders and a 0.85 goals against average. He was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Goalkeeper of the Week during both his junior and senior seasons.
As a freshman, he was appointed the GNAC Rookie of the Week three times and ranked sixth in the NCAA among Division III keepers averaging 10.62 saves per game. Campagna went on to lead the GNAC in saves per game during all four of his campaigns and finished his career with 401 saves.
Campagna was honored as the teams Unsung Hero in 2003, received the Coaches Appreciation and Academic Award in 2005, the Unsung Hero Award and Academic Appreciation Award in 2006 and the Emmanuel College Athletic Departments Senior Leadership Award.
While at Emmanuel, Campagna also competed on the Men's Varsity Volleyball and Indoor Track & Field squads as well as the Baseball club team.
In 2007, the Somers, CT native graduated from Emmanuel College magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English Communications. He went on to complete his Masters of Business Administration at UMass Boston while working in the Beacons Sports Information office and is currently employed at Emmanuel College as the Assistant Director of Sports Information.
