PAWTUCKET, R.I.—For the second-consecutive week, UMass Boston freshman goalie Abby McCulloch (Weymouth, Mass.) has been recognized by the Little East Conference, the league announced Monday afternoon.
After earning LEC Goalie of the Week honors last week, McCulloch was named the LEC Rookie of the Week after a 1-1 week for the Beacons.
McCulloch posted a 1.50 goals against average and an .833 save percentage over 180 total minutes.
In the first game of the week, she made six saves on eight shots in a 2-1 loss to Babson College. She followed that up with nine saves, one save shy of her career-high, in a 3-1 win over Wentworth institute of Technology.
McCulloch has played every minute of every game this season and has posted a 3-3 record with a 1.17 goals against average and .844 save percentage. She ranks second in the Little East with her 38 saves and third amongst all starters in save percentage.
The Beacons will return to action on Tuesday night, when they host Emmanuel College at 7 p.m.
