PAWTUCKET, R.I. – After leading the Beacons to a 1-0-1 week, junior back Carly Robinson (Pittsfield, Mass.) has been named the Little East Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
Robinson, earned the weekly honor, after helping to keep the opposition to just one goal, which occurred in the 1-1 tie at Colby-Sawyer College. In Saturday's shutout win over UMass Dartmouth, Robinson assisted on two Beacons goals, while completely neutralizing the Corsairs offense. With Saturday's win, the Beacons extended their unbeaten streak to five straight games (3-0-2), and have climbed into the top-4 in the conference standings.
