BRISTOL, R.I. – A pair of first half goals and three in the second half lifted Roger Williams University to a 5-0 non-conference win over women's soccer Saturday afternoon at Bayside Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Hawks wasted little time getting on the scoreboard as they netted their first goal of the afternoon less than five minutes into the half. They would then tack on their second goal of the day at the 17 minute mark.
From there the Hawks sealed the victory in the second half, with all three goals coming in the final 40 minutes of play.
On the day, Roger Williams combined for 26 shots, while the Beacons offense notched eight in the non-conference loss. Jessie Tenaglia (Braintree, Mass.) finished four saves in the first half. Newcomer Maranda Caruso (Kingston, Mass.) continued her strong play in just the second match as a Beacon, as the junior made five stops.
Alexis Wright earned her first win of the season, after registering a pair of saves, both of which came in the second half. Kerri Alexander (Carver, Mass.) and Gigi Braga (Medford, Mass.) each registered the only shots on goal for the Beacons.
