MARSHFIELD, Mass. – After a three-point weekend, which helped women's hockey to a 1-0-1 New England Hockey Conference record, sophomore forward Rachel Peacock (Billerica, Mass.) was named the Offensive Player of the Week.
In a pair of come-from-behind affairs Peacock scored the game-winning tally in the 4-2 victory at the University of Southern Maine. The sophomores game-winning tally came at the 5:58 mark of the second period, and helped the Beacons secure their second straight win over a conference opponent. On Saturday, Peacock had a hand in both Beacons goals in the 2-2 tie against the University of New England.
She assisted the Beacons first score of the game, which tied it at 1-1 in the first period. She then netted the game-tying goal on the power-play with 11 seconds remaining before the end of the second period.
On the year, Peacock leads the Beacons with five points and three assists. She sits tied for second with two goals.
