Cross Country Concludes Season At NCAA Regional Championship

BRUNSWICK, Maine – In their final meet of the 2018 campaign, the men's and women's cross country teams competed at the 2018 NCAA New England Regional Championship meet hosted by Bowdoin College.

THE BASICS

Men's – 34th out of 58 teams (983 points)
Women's – No Team Result

HOW IT HAPPENED

Led by Jimmy Cannon (Quincy, Mass.) the men's team posted a 34th place finish overall as the sophomore registered a final time of 27:18.13.  For the women's squad Patriciah Mulinge (Brockton, Mass.) recorded a time of 24:55.01 to earn 177th place overall.

Cameron Chase (Lutz, Fla.) crossed the finish line with the second fastest time for the men's team as he posted a time of 27:58.64.  Prosper Lubega (Watertown, Mass.) tripped the sensor with a time of 28:32.67, while William Barrett (Everett, Mass.) finished the meet with a time of 28:43.74. 

Jack Davis (Southwick, Mass.) closed out Saturday's championship with a time of 32:28.53.  Brianna Steele (Rutland, Mass.) was the only other Beacon to compete for the women's squad.  The freshman closed out her rookie season with a time of 26:52.86.
