Men's Cross Country Places Sixth At Little East Championships

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Led by Jimmy Cannon (Quincy, Mass.) the men's cross country team finished in sixth place at the 2018 Little East Conference Championship meet Saturday afternoon on the campus of Bryant University.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Cannon recorded a final time of 28:59.2 to finish in 15th place.  Cannon has dominated the courses this season for the Beacons, and continued to do so in Saturday's championship.  Cameron Chase (Lutz, Fla.) recorded the second fastest time for UMass Boston as he crossed the finish line with a time of 30:30.3.  William Barrett (Everett, Mass.) finished right behind his teammate with a time of 30:36.4 to close out the top-3 finishes by UMass Boston.

Prosper Lubega (Watertown, Mass.) posted a 41st place finish with a time of 30:52.40.  Jack Davis (Southwick, Mass.) registered a time of 31:16.7 to close out the afternoon for UMass Boston.

The Beacons will next compete on November 10 at the NCAA Division III New England Regional Championship meet hosted by Bowdoin College.
