LINCOLN, R.I. – In some very tough conditions, the men's and women's cross country teams both recorded fifth place finishes Saturday afternoon at the TriState Invitational hosted by the Community College of Rhode Island.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Leading all Beacons runners was Patriciah Mulinge (Brockton, Mass.) who recorded a sixth place finish with her time of 21:35.30. Cameron Chase (Lutz, Fla.) also posted a strong time for the second straight week as the sophomore recorded a time of 29:32.80 to earn a ninth place finish. Jeffery Noyes (Weymouth, Mass.) also posted a top-25 finish as the senior came in with a time of 30:53.10.
Maddy Scott (Westhampton, Mass.) recorded a 20th place finish with a time of 22:56.90, while Adrianna Fredo (Brockton, Mass.) finished Saturday's tough meet with a time of 23:53.20 to earn 32nd place. Rokas Piragis (Brockton, Mass.) tripped the sensor with a time of 31:18.00 to earn a 26th place finish, with Jonny Long (Newton, Mass.) finishing right behind him in 31st place with a time of 31:38.80. Freshman Terry Williams (Saint Mary's, Ga.) earned a 36th place finish with his time of 31:51.70.
The Beacons will compete in the NEICAAA Championship meet next Saturday at Franklin Park in Dorchester.
