BOSTON, Mass. – In their final regular season home match of 2018 men's tennis made quick work of the Huskies of the University of Southern Maine as they cruised to a 9-0 win Saturday afternoon at BC High School Tennis Courts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
With the win the Beacons have secured at-least a share of the Little East Conference regular season championship, with only one match remaining in the regular season.
Before the first tennis ball was even served, the Beacons jumped out to a 3-0 lead as the Huskies were only able to have four players compete in Saturday's conference match.
In doubles play, Guang Huang (Quincy, Mass.) and Ray Platteel (Holbrook, Mass.) notched an 8-3 win at first flight, while at second flight it was Adam Acker (Longmeadow, Mass.) and Josh Bhasin (Tulsa, Okla.) cruised to an 8-2 victory.
Three of the four singles matches were determined by 6-0, 6-0 victories. Tin Tran registered a 6-2, 6-1 win at fourth flight to close out the day.

- The Beacons have won at least a share of the Little East Conference regular season title a total of three times since 2013
- With the win, the Beacons have secured a first-round bye in the LEC Tournament and will host a semi-final match at the Weymouth Club on Thursday, May 3

The Beacons will travel to Western Connecticut State University next Saturday for a 1 p.m. conference match.
