Two From Soccer Earn NSCAA All-New England Region Honors
BOSTON, Mass. – For the first-time in the history of the University of Massachusetts Boston men’s and women’s soccer programs each team had a player named a NSCAA Division III All-New England Region selection, with Stefanos Galouzis (Watertown, Mass.) earning first-team honors and Samantha Place (Newton, N.J.) earning fourth-team honors.

NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The Norwich University (12-9-0) men’s soccer team scored three first half goals en route to a 3-1 victory over fourth-seeded UMass Boston (11-6-0) in the ECAC New England Tournament Quarterfinals on Wednesday at Howard Field.

Galouzis Named LEC Offensive Player of the Year for Men's Soccer
NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The Little East Conference announced its annual men’s soccer All-Little East teams and major award winners. Earning conference Offensive Player of the Year honors was sophomore Stefanos Galouzis (Watertown, Mass.), making him only the second player in the program’s history and first since 1996 to earn the conference’s top offensive honor.

Men's and Women's Soccer Earn Bids to ECAC New England Tournaments
BOSTON, Mass. - For the first time in the history of University of Massachusetts Boston soccer both the men's and women's soccer programs will be competing in a postseason tournament in the same year. Both teams not only earned a bid to the ECAC New England Region tournament, but they were also selected as the fourth-seed. Women's Soccer will host #5 Endicott College on Wednesday at 2 p.m., while men's soccer will travel to #5 Norwich University for a 1 p.m. match, which will also be played on Wednesday.

BOSTON, Mass. – in their final regular season match of 2011, men’s soccer (11-5, 3-4 LEC) with the help of Stefanos Galouzis (Watertown, Mass.) earned a 4-1 Little East Conference victory over Plymouth State University (4-13, 2-5 LEC) Saturday afternoon at the Clark Athletic Center Field.

Trio Leads Men's Soccer to 3-1 Win over Mass. Maritime
BOSTON, Mass. – Led by the offensive trio of Stefanos Galouzis (Watertown, Mass.), Reyn Johnson (Mangilao, Guam), and Victor Hugo Costa (Malden, Mass.) men’s soccer (10-5) recorded their 10th win of the year for the first time since 2006 as they defeated the Massachusetts Maritime Academy (2-11-1) by the final score of 3-1 Wednesday afternoon at the Clark Athletic Center Field.
