KEENE, N.H. – A total of 15 different players found the back of the cage as Keene State College defeated lacrosse by the final of 22-3 Saturday afternoon at the Owl Athletic Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Owls quickly jumped out to a commanding lead in the first quarter as they outscored the Beacons 8-0 through the first 15 minutes of play. The Beacons finally got on the board in the second with a Kroy Arnold (Syracuse, N.Y.) goal at the 8:37 mark, with Calvin Lee (Hopkinton, Mass.) assisting on the play.
Unfortunately, the Owls would rattle-off four more goals to jump out to a 12-1 lead. Eric Wollrath (Groton, Mass.) netted the final goal of the first half for the Beacons to make it 12-2 going into the break.
In the third, Keene State notched just three goals, but then extended their lead in the fourth as they outscored UMB 7-1 over the final frame.
Lee recorded the final goal for the Beacons. Alex Surette (Melrose, Mass.) tallied his most saves in conference play, as the freshman standout registered 17 stops.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Keene State outshot the Beacons 62-10 and held a 48-27 advantage in ground balls
