Redler Recognized As NEHC Player of the Week

MANSFIELD, Mass.—For the first time in his career, UMass Boston sophomore forward Nolan Redler (Winchester, Mass.) was named the New England Hockey Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

Redler led the #5/6 Beacons to a weekend split against rival Babson College, by recording a team-high three goals and four points. 

He scored a power-play goal on Friday night, before finishing with two goals, an assist, and a +4 (+/-) rating in Saturday's 7-5 win over Babson College.

On the season, Redler leads all of Division III in goals (14) and ranks tied for first in power-play goals (five). He also sits third in the nation in total points (20) and tied for seventh in points per game (1.67).

In less than 1.5 seasons, Redler has already registered 24 goals, 23 assists and 47 points in 36 career games. 

#5/6 UMass Boston will close out first semester play on Saturday, when they travel to take on intra-state rival UMass Dartmouth at 7 p.m.
