Max Reavis Named ECAC East Rookie of the Week
CENTERVILLE, Mass.—For the second time this season freshman forward Max Reavis (Omaha, Neb.) has been named the ECAC East Rookie of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
This marks the seventh time a UMass Boston freshman has won the Rookie of the Week award, as Reavis joins Peter MacIntyre (Norfolk, Mass.) as a repeat winner.
Reavis had a monster week for the Beacons recording three goals and three assists to help UMass Boston clinch the second seed in the upcoming ECAC East Tournament.
The freshman top-line center recorded two goals and an assist Monday afternoon in a 7-4 win over the University of New England, before recording a goal and an assist Saturday in a 4-2 loss to top-ranked Norwich University. He tacked on assist in Friday night's 5-0 win over St. Michael's College.
The former Purt Huron Fighting Falcon earned at least one point in each game this week and finishes the regular season with 22 points in 22 games.
