Men's Hockey Continues Ascent In National Polls

BOSTON, Mass.—UMass Boston men's ice hockey (13-3-1) continued their climb up the national polls Monday, as the Beacons came in at #13 in the national poll and #14 in the Top-15 poll.

A week after breaking into the top 15 in the poll for the first time in program history, UMass Boston received 42 votes Monday, after a 3-0 week against New England foes.

The Beacons saw an even bigger jump in the poll, moving up four spots, after defeating a pair of ECAC East foes over the weekend.

With the three victories, the Beacons extended their winning streak to four and have now won 11 of their past 12.  During their four game-winning streak, UMass Boston has outscored opponents 21-8.

UMass Boston is primed for a huge weekend showdown with travel partner Babson College. The Beavers (10-4-3) are ranked #14 in the poll and #12 in the poll.
