Kevin Kelley is entering his fourth year at UMass Boston
and will serve as an infield coach/defensive coordinator in
2013.
Kelley came to UMass Boston after holding a number of coaching
positions in and around the city of Boston. For over
five years, Kelley has been a coach in the Boston Junior Rams
AAU program. He also works as a baseball coordinator at
the Rams Athletic Complex and was the Head Coach of the
16-18 year old Senior Babe Ruth team.
Before his coaching days, Kelley was a four year standout at second
base for Suffolk University, where he played for Coach Eygabroat.
During his time there, the team won two Great Northeast Athletic
Conference titles, one Eastern Athletic Conference crown, and
qualified for the NCAA tournament twice. While defense was his
calling card, the former Rams' Captain finished his career with a
.305 batting average.
Prior to graduating from Suffolk in 2005 with a degree in criminal
justice, the Erving, MA native was a two sport athlete at Turners
Falls high school, where he played both basketball and
baseball.
