Baseball Collects Five ABCA/NEIBA All-Region Honors; Eygabroat Named Coach of the Year

BOSTON, Mass. – A total of five players earned their second All-New England honors as Chris Fowler (Barnstable, Mass.), Ryan McCormick (Cumberland, R.I.), Dave Murphy (Plymouth, Mass.), Bobby Tramondozzi (Peabody, Mass.), and JT Morin (Wilton, Conn.) were all honored by the NEIBA and the ABCA.  Along with the five All-Region honors, head coach Brendan Eygabroat was named the New England Region Coach of the Year for the first time in his illustrious career.

Fowler was the lone First Team honoree, after producing another monumental season for the Beacons, who advanced to their second straight NCAA Regional Final for the first time in program history.  The Beacons also compiled 37 wins, making 2018 the third straight season that UMB registered 30+ wins in a season.  McCormick, Murphy, Tramondozzi, and Morin were all named to the Second Team with Tuesday's announcements.

For Eygabroat he was named the top coach in New England for the second straight year as he earned D3Baseball.com All-Region Coach of the Year in 2017 for the first time in his career.  The now two-time Little East Coach of the Year, has helped the Beacons see unbelievable success during his 14 seasons on the harbor campus.  The combined 10 All-Region honorees, is a new program best for the Beacons, with Fowler becoming the first player in program history to earn back-to-back First Team All-Region honors by D3Baseball.com and by NEIBA/ABCA.
