PAWTUCKET, R.I. – After hitting .750 during the Beacons 4-0 senior All-American Chris Fowler (Barnstable, Mass.) was named the Little East Conference Player of the Week for the second straight week.
During his huge week, the Barnstable native recorded a total of 12 hits, four doubles, one triple, three home runs, and six RBI. He also recorded 27 total bases and had a slugging percentage of 1.688. He was walked three times and had an on-base percentage of .789. Defensively, Fowler totaled 32 putouts and one assist.
In the Beacons first meeting with Worcester State, Fowler finished 2-for-2 with three walks and a run scored. Of his two hits one was a double. In their second meeting with the Lancers, Fowler had one of the best days of his college career as he went-off for three home runs, which tied the program record. On the day he finished 5-for-5 with three RBI and three runs scored. Fowler also had a double and recorded a career-high 15 total bases.
On Saturday, Fowler combined for five hits, two doubles, one triple, three RBI, and three runs scored as the Beacons outscored WCSU 16-1.
