BOSTON, Mass. – Last Saturday members of the UMass Boston baseball and softball teams hosted the second annual All Dorchester Sports League Clinic in the Clark Athletic Center Gymnasium.
A huge success all-around, well over 30 boys and girls participated in Saturday's clinic. Members of both teams worked with each child on the fundamentals of hitting, field, throwing, and pitching. The day was a huge success as each child was able to work with the college players and coaches in the new renovated Clark Gym.
"I thought the event went extremely well. The athletes really enjoyed their time with the boys and girls of the All Dorchester Sports League, and I am hoping that we can continue to build this clinic each year we host it," said head baseball coach Brendan Eygabroat.
Both programs pride themselves in their community service efforts and have helped to make the UMass Boston Athletics Department one of the most recognized and respected departments in the country for their involvement outside of campus.
