BOSTON, Mass. – As part of the many renovation projects scheduled this summer at UMass Boston, the Clark Athletic Center Field will be getting a brand new grass surface.
After another tough year of competition and practice, the field will be getting ripped up immediately in preparation for the new sod. The entire field will be made over and will be ready for the start of the 2012 fall season. Serving as the home for men’s and women’s soccer and men’s lacrosse, the new surface will make Clark Athletic Center Field one of the finest grass playing fields in the area.
Crews have already begun ripping up the field on both sides. The main part of the field is scheduled to be torn up later this week. Once the old surface is removed and the ground is screened, the new grass will be put down as soon as possible.
