HOW IT HAPPENED
Freshman Omosigho Asuen made his Men's 200 Meter debut, placing eighth overall in a time of 24.33 seconds to notch four points for the Beacons.

Freshman Melvin Wiltshire, who has started to make a name for himself this spring, contributed another six points to the UMass Boston total, finishing fifth in the Men's 400 Meter Run with a time of 56.99 seconds, just under two seconds shy of his personal best set earlier this month.

A staple in the point column all winter and spring, freshman Rob Cannon continued to make strides with his eighth-place finish in the Men's 800 Meter Run, snagging two points with his 2:10.57 finish in his debut in the event. He finished eight seconds ahead of graduate student Jimmy Cannon who placed 10th in 2:18.54.

The Men's 400 Meter Hurdles would secure 11 points for the Beacons as freshmen Frank Boua and Austin Hennebury finished back-to-back in the event, notching third and fourth place with times of 1:02.44 and 1:19.26 respectively. Boua also was awarded five points in the Men's Long Jump in which he placed ninth, leaping 19 feet and 1.5 inches which was a personal best.

Sophomore Sam Grant recorded the final two points of the day and his first points in a meet this season for the Beacons after finishing ninth in the Men's Shot Put. Grant set a personal best in the event with a 33-foot, 10-inch throw which broke his previous best by over a foot.
