
The 1985-86 indoor track and field team captured UMass Boston's
second straight indoor NCAA III title and boasted 12 All-American
performances as well as an individual champion during its
championship run. The squad also won the ECAC indoor crown with a
record 145 points, paced by seven first place finishes and four
meet records. Members of the squad include: Delores Booth, Darrelle
Boyd, Ann Brissett, Debbie D'Entremont, Murtonda Durant, Genesia
Eddins, Jackie James, Sonji Larts, Jackie McGill, Jan Procaccini,
Kelly Rainey, Maureen Roche, Georgia Traficante, Diane Weeder,
Michele Williams, Rosalind Williams, Head Coach Sherman Hart and
Assistant Coach Jeff Hennessey.
The 1986 outdoor track and field team also captured the NCAA
Division III championship to make UMass Boston the first school to
win both the indoor and outdoor championships during the same
athletic season. The competition saw nine All-American performances
and three event champions. Members of the squad include: Patsy
Booker, Delores Booth, Darrelle Boyd, Ann Brissett, Debbie
D'Entremont, Murtonda Durant, Genesia Eddins, Jackie James, Sabrina
Powell, Jan Procaccini, Kelly Rainey, Maureen Roche, Georgia
