A member of the 1981-82 ECAC championship team, Joe Curran '87 was a two-time captain with the Beacons.  To-date Curran stands as the all-time program leader in career assists with 104.  He also ranks third all-time in career points with 161 and eighth in total goals with 57.  Named the Codfish Bowl MVP in 1983, Curran’s hard-nosed play earned him the respect of his teammates, coaches, and opponents. 

From 1980-84, Curran ranked among the leading scorers and point earners in the entire ECAC Division III hockey league.  In the 1981-82 season, Curran played a major part in leading the Beacons to the program’s first conference title.  Following his playing career, Curran returned to his alma mater to serve as an assistant coach for two seasons (1986-88).
