PAWTUCKET, R.I.—Fourteen UMass Boston student-athletes were named to the Little East Conference Spring All-Academic Team, the league office announced last week.
Baseball and Women's Outdoor Track & Field paced the way for UMass Boston's spring teams with four honorees each. Men's Outdoor Track & Field placed three athletes on the All-Academic team, while lacrosse and men's tennis had two and one athlete recognized.
Five of the track athletes to be honored were also named to the 2017 Winter All-Academic teams in April.
To be named a spring sport All-Academic honoree, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or higher through the 2017 spring semester and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, following the 2016-17 season.
